High Cube Containers

High cube containers are almost identical to general purpose containers with the only difference being extra height, where as standard containers have a height of 8’6” high cube containers height is 9’6” providing an extra foot of available space. The additional space makes high cube containers ideal for the transportation of light voluminous cargo and bulk cargo.

High cube containers are fitted with a number of lashing rings located on the front top end rail, bottom cross member and corner posts, capable of bearing loads of up to 1000kg to help secure cargoes.

High cube containers are available as 20’ and 40’ containers although larger containers such as 45’ are also available. Many 40’ high cube containers have a recess in the floor which services to centre the containers on so-called gooseneck chassis for transport by road.
